Camp Structure
The camp commences on August 6 2007, and runs for
2 consecutive weeks. The last day will be August 18th. The camp is offered to skaters for
one or two weeks.
On Saturday 11th, a gala is hosted in the ice-rink and attended by the entire town. Skaters are selected by Alexei Mishin and Mikel Garcia to skate a competitive or exhibition program. This is an extremely helpful preparation for skaters who will be competing in front of audiences later on in the season.
Aside from the technique lessons with Mishin, the camp also offers an opportunity to work with a top Swiss spins coach, a Russian footwork coach, Spanish ballet dancers, Russian choreographers, as well as offering informational sessions with ISU technical specialists with regards to the NJS.
Skaters will also be able to take private lessons with Mishin, or any of the other specialist coaches participating in the camp. These are an additional expense to the cost of the camp. |
